The first six were: with Attila and his Huns, A.D. 372-454; the crusades, the Moorish invasion of Spain; the trouble with the Bulgars, Avars, Magyars and Khazars; then Genghis Khan and his Mongols; then the Ottoman genocide. The era of the Indian wars was an age when the very survival of settlers was at stake. They were being slaughtered, enslaved and mutilated in the most barbaric manner.
